Go Orchids As a freelance scientific artist, it’s important to demonstrate accuracy in all aspects of my subject. In this illustration, the three-quarter view shows the detail in the pouch, sepals, petals and foliage, plus units for scale. There is also an illustration of the tiny seed so characteristic of the orchid family. Who says scientific illustration has to be boring?
